Re: New fix for Dr Shriek "walker"

I always heard that Dr. Shriek would take his head off with both hands and put it back on. Did your mechanical fix get that to happen? I am not fortunate enough to own a Dr. Shriek set, yet, so I am going by what I have heard in the past.

Re: First run at dr shriek -opinions & advice please-

Jim, I saw the pictures of your Dr. Shriek and OG Ogre on the MMM facebook page. Great Job! I was wondering how you solved your problem. I would guess that you first put the white in the hand and baked those seperatly. Then I'll guess that you put the mold halves together and filled with the second ...

Re: monster maker instructions

I see the instructions you found at http://dr-goop.com/toppermonstermaker/d ... structions they are definitly not high resolution. If anyone out there has a copy of original MMM instructions and would like to post a copy that would be much appreciated.

How long to cook your Creepy Crawlers

This is for Ivy031, I accidently deleted your original posting when I was doing maintenance. I believe the question was "how long to cook Creepy Crawlers for in a 1992 Toymax oven?" The orange and green Toymax oven uses a light bulb to generate the heat to melt the goop. Sometimes the ligh...

Re: Cooking without a topper oven?

Hey Jim, The only hazing you're gonna get is when you burn the goop! To avoid that, and answer your question, I would use an oven or toaster oven set at 300 F. Remember that the Superplastic will be soft even if it feels warm so let it cool completely. I have been to eager to get my casting out and ...

Re: How do you remove the super plastic from the car mold?

It sounds like the mold might be slightly dirty from oxidation. If that is the case maybe polishing the inside of the mold with a dremel would help. I like sciboys suggestion of mold release. A Teflon spray is what I use on other molding projects as a release agent since Teflon has a good heat stabi...

Re: Repair for Motorized Monster Maker

There was a guy that was mentioned on the old World of Motorized Monster Maker website that used to repair Dr. Shriek. I don't know if he still does but here is the link to that webpage http://dr-goop.com/toppermonstermaker/community
Good luck and let us know if the Captain is still fixing them.

Re: Looking for Topper catalogs from 1971 1972

Hey Archie, Welcome to the forum. Let me know if you have any luck finding those catalogs as I would love to have a look at them. You might also want to post something on the Motorized Monster Maker facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Motorized-Monster-Maker/213150432049539 Regards, Dr. G...

Re: molds

Dinah, Yes they can. The molds from the 1962 Vac-u-form are the same as the 1964 Thingmaker/Creepy Crawlers molds. Wait, only if you are talking about the metal molds, don't put the plastic molds on the Thingmaker oven. The metal molds will work in the Jakks light bulb style ovens too but the tongs ...

New kind of Creepy Crawlers are out for Xmas

So it looks like Jakks has put out a new line of Creepy Crawlers. You use gel "bug eggs" to melt into plastic bug molds. You can then fill the bugs with a liquid "goo" so that you can squash the bugs. I bought some of the bug eggs and it is not the same as plastigoop. I don't thi...
