I saw that there were a bunch of different subjects where people were posting pictures of their work (myself included) and thought it would be fun to have a section just for that. A show off section! I figured if a grown adult was going to show off their toys, it might as well be somewhere like here! I'll go first...
Another photo of my skull/butterflies. The colors are so much more vibrant in person. Too bad it didn't show through in the photo.

And some others, mostly fright factory. The shrunken head turned out really well with this sickly green tone that had an under color of greenish brown, but again the photo doesn't depict it perfectly.

What has everyone else made?! Show and tell!!!

O.K. I'll post a few. I have taken many pictures of my creepy stuff but haven't gone through all of them yet.

NEWBIE ALERT

how did you get that slight gradiation of color fom the skulls out towards the wing tips.
I think theyre beautiful and can imagine a few ladies I know who are perfectlly suited to wear them.
I also think theyre very creative use of the molds in a new expressive way.

Thanks! The mold was deeper closer to where the skulls sat, so I just put a little goop in there and used a paintbrush to spread the goop where I wanted it. I put it in the oven for a few minutes and the goop would naturally collect more in the lower or deeper parts, then I'd add the next color which shows up beneath or behind the first color. It's always so exciting pulling it from the mold when I'm done, hoping it turned out the way I had wanted.

Just wanted to pass along a quick tip! When I make skeletons and have to fill the mold the 2nd time for the other leg and arm I fill the ball almost up to the chain,, Then I use superglue to assemble the skeleton, (never quite got those tab things to work) and I super glue the 2nd half ball to the back of the first one with a chain and get a 3D ball,,
The skeleton in the pic was made from Ultra Glow that has a super solution of Glow powder,, it will actually still be glowing when I wake up in the am,, I guess the down side is that when cured it has a grtty feeling to it and isnt as elastic,, I Make this Super Ultra gow goop up, when I get to the bottom of a large container of glow and there residue of glow powder left in there,, sometimes I use it for my own stuff, or put it back into the next large container of glow,, this time I made this skeleton and then sold it in two 4 oz bottles to some lucky guy on ebay,,
Im working on next using original skeleton mold to make a master so I can make another mold to make a real silver skeleton,, add diamonds for eyes and sell real jewelery Creepy Crawlers,, I just saw a gold plated Diamond encrusted Mattel Hot Wheel that was made for Hot wheels 40th aniversary,, and Our Old fiend Tools had a Mattel Creepy Crawlers silver pin on ebay,,, How about the skeleton is silver, Ruby red eyes, real gold chains and a Black Pearl for the ball,,, Yea I know Its gonna cost me some $ but Im sure some one would buy it,,

What is the problem you run into? I've never had them NOT work, and then the arms and legs are movable. LOL
